Arkwright Engineering Scholarship for Amazing UK teenagers

Arkwright Engineering Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship of its kind in the United Kingdom, aiming to encourage students to pursue their aspirations and transform the world as future engineers.

Through a rigorous selection procedure, the Scholarships are offered to hardworking 16-year-old students, assisting them with their A levels, Scottish Highers, or equivalent qualifications.

Every Scholarship is funded by a commercial firm, trade association, university, professional institution, armed service, government organization, religious organization, charity trust, or individual donor. This means that assistance is provided in a variety of ways, such as valuable hands-on work experience, assistance with your curriculum project, and a personal mentor who may assist you with elements of your studies and career planning.

How to Apply for Arkwright Engineering Scholarship

If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, speak with your teacher. Every year, the application period runs from September to January.

Before you may apply for a scholarship, your institution needs to be partnered with the Arkwright Engineering Scholarships program. Ask your instructor to complete the school partnership form if your school has not yet been partnered. The partnership is fast, easy, and cost-free.

The application period is Year 11 (England and Wales), S4 (Scotland), and Year 12 (U.S.) (Northern Ireland). The scholarship will be given to you as you start Year 12 (in England and Wales), Year 5 (in Scotland), or Year 13 (in Northern Ireland) to study subjects that will help you get ready for a job in engineering, computer, or technical design as well as a university degree.

Each student application requires a £42.00 administration fee, which is due by April. This aids in defraying the price of Arkwright’s stringent hiring procedure. Depending on local regulations, the School or the applicant’s parents may be responsible for paying this cost (which is beyond the control of Arkwright Engineering Scholarships). How the charge can be paid should be decided by the teachers.

The online application includes multiple questions about the following topics:

  • Your anticipated exam results and GCSE / comparable subjects
  • What piques your interest in engineering?
  • Subjects you intend to study the following year
  • Post-secondary education and/or professional goals
  • A realistic engineering/technology project that you have completed
