Criteria for the University of Colorado Boulder Scholarship
The University of Colorado Boulder Scholarship for International Students is open to incoming first-year students, continuing undergraduates, transfer students and graduate students from any country in the world.

Deadline for the University of Colorado Boulder Scholarship
Applicants must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the Office of Financial Aid by February 15 of each calendar year in order to be considered for the scholarship grants. The results of the FAFSA must be submitted every year in order to continue to be eligible for the scholarship.

Application Process for the University of Colorado Boulder Scholarship
The University of Colorado scholarship Application should be submitted in order to be considered for the CU Boulder scholarship.
This is a simplified application that enables students to submit one general application that contains inquiries about extracurricular activities, community service, leadership and work experience, as well as a general essay, for the CU Boulder scholarship. Students may be asked to answer extra questions, such as writing a customized essay, for additional suggested scholarship options after submitting the main application. The application process is entirely online.
Selection Process
Applications are evaluated by a scholarship committee, which then chooses the winners. There is a fierce competition during the selection process, and offers of awards are not guaranteed. Applications are reviewed holistically and selection criteria may include but are not limited to, your academic record, leadership experience, extracurricular involvement, community service, employment, essays, and in some cases, financial need.
Only those pupils who are chosen to earn a scholarship will be informed through email. Students chosen for the scholarship will be notified by:
- Incoming first-year student: Early April
- Continuing students: Mid-April
- Transfer students: Mid-July
