URM pharmacy students are U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and/or Pacific Islander. Selected winners must demonstrate leadership, academic success, and a dedication to the advancement of the pharmacy profession and patient care. Each winner will get a $8,000 scholarship.
4. Community Pharmacy Scholarship
The Community Pharmacy Scholarship is available from Pharmacists Mutual to students who want to work in an independent or small-chain pharmacy, or in an underrepresented geographic or cultural community. Students must submit a college transcript, a letter of recommendation, and an essay detailing how they have prepared for work in an autonomous or underserved context in order to apply.
5. The NCPA Foundation Presidential Scholarship
The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) provides a Presidential Scholarship to pharmacy students who demonstrate leadership and academic excellence.
