1. 21st Century Scholarship Covenant
The 21st Century Scholarship Covenant is an Indiana University-funded grant designed to augment the state-funded 21st Century Scholarship and assist eligible Indiana residents with high financial need in obtaining a college degree.

The 21st Century Scholarship Covenant award is given to 21st Century Scholars who demonstrate unmet financial need. The Covenant is a one-time financial award that does not require a separate application.
The amount of the reward is determined by each student’s financial aid profile. The 21st Century Scholarship will cover tuition and obligatory expenses. The Covenant will provide additional support to qualifying students who have unmet financial needs after applying for existing scholarships or grants.
2. Adam W. Herbert Presidential Scholars Program
President Emeritus Adam W. Herbert established the Herbert Presidential Scholars Program during his term at Indiana University, and it is regarded as one of the most prestigious scholarships for IU students. The IU Board of Trustees renamed the Hoosier Presidential Scholars Program the Adam W. Herbert Presidential Scholarship in 2007 to commemorate Dr Herbert and his dedication to brilliant Indiana students. In May of 2009, the inaugural cohort of Herbert Presidential Scholars graduated.
3. Leaders for Tomorrow National Scholarship Program
The Leaders for Tomorrow scholarship is based on merit and financial need. Indiana University first-year students who have shown tremendous determination and overcome difficulties are chosen. A total of $25,000 will be distributed over a five-year period. $5,000 will be provided each year for the first three years, with the remaining $10,000 awarded in the fourth year of study or split evenly between the fourth and fifth years of study. The annual scholarship grant will successfully cover the “gap” on the total cost of attendance by leveraging government help and institutional awards (COA).
4. Cox Research Scholarship
The Cox Research Award is a merit-based scholarship programme for Indiana citizens who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and scholarly curiosity. If you are chosen as a Cox Research Scholar, you will have the unique opportunity to participate in important research or creative activity at IU Bloomington while working eight to ten hours per week under the guidance of a faculty member. A scholarship and pay package that, when combined with additional institutional aid, equals the official cost of attendance at Indiana University Bloomington.
5. Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design
The Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture, and Design celebrate entering first-year students’ creative talents through a variety of scholarships. Students who indicate a major within the Eskenazi School and are invited to complete the Selective Scholarship Application (SSA) will be considered for potential grants. All Eskenazi School scholarships on the SSA require a portfolio submission.
6. Groups Scholars Program
The Groups Scholars Program at Indiana University was established to encourage college enrollment among first-generation, underrepresented students. It provides academic, financial, and social support to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Students accepted as Groups Scholars live on campus and take courses for a little more than six weeks during the summer before their freshman year, getting acquainted with the university and creating a network of social and intellectual support.
