The first offers for high achievers are usually made the week before Christmas. When university results are released, awards are distributed to current students. Typically, the first offers are made in early December.

Before submitting applications to a selection committee, the Scholarships Office must wait until all applicants for each award have received their results. This process may take longer than usual if an interstate applicant has applied for the award. Once the Scholarships Office has received all of the necessary information, applications are distributed to selection committees comprised of both university staff and external members affiliated with that specific scholarship.

The Scholarships Office will then make a formal scholarship offer to the applicant. If you are successful, the Scholarships Office will send you an email informing you of the offer.
