Texas Tech Presidential Merit Scholarship
The Texas Tech Presidential Merit Scholarship is given to entering first-year students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability through high test scores and class ranking. Annual award amounts are split evenly between fall and spring terms. If you are a non-resident and receive a Presidential Scholarship, you will be able to pay in-state tuition. All merit awards are guaranteed for students admitted by April 15th; admission after this date is only limited by scholarship availability.
If a student is eligible for one Presidential Scholarship through the TTU Presidential Scholarship program, the Presidential offer takes precedence over any other Presidential scholarship offers. Presidential Merit Scholarships are only available for Texas Tech University programs. Scholarships from Texas Tech University do not transfer to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), Texas Tech Costa Rica, or Angelo State University. When you apply for admission to a TTUHSC program of study, you will have the opportunity to be considered for TTUHSC scholarships.
Freshmen arriving for the first time who demonstrate excellent academic performance are given Presidential Merit Scholarships. Annual award payments are split equally between the autumn and spring terms. If you receive a Presidential Scholarship but are not a resident of the state, you are also eligible to pay in-state tuition. For students who are accepted by May 1st, all merit awards are guaranteed. The reward must be accepted before May 1st. Scholarships are not available to TTU Costa Rica students.
