The Macquarie University UAC International Scholarship is available to all high school graduates who apply for a Macquarie University bachelor’s degree through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC). The scholarship is a one-time payment of AUD $10,000 applied to your tuition fee.

Eligibility for the UAC International Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a full-time international student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree on campus (or online and/or offshore if affected by COVID-19 border restrictions) and meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, or one of the countries in North America, the Middle East, or Oceania regions.
- Begin your studies in the session and year specified in your scholarship offer letter.
- Meet the required criteria for admission into the school
- Respect the scholarship’s terms and conditions.

Scholarship Award
The scholarship awards AUD $10,000 to successful applicants. Also, note that the scholarship ward is a one-off payment. It is not a renewable scholarship.

After submitting your application for the UAC International Scholarship, the scholarship committee will get back to you if your application for the UAC International Scholarship is successful. If you don’t get feedback, then you need to reapply.

About Macquarie University
Macquarie University is a public research university in the Sydney suburb of Macquarie Park. The New South Wales Government established it in 1964 as the third university in the Sydney metropolitan area. Macquarie University, which has been established as a verdant university, has five faculties, as well as the Macquarie University Hospital and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, all of which are located on the university’s main campus in suburban Sydney.
The university is Australia’s first to completely align its degree system with the Bologna Accord. The main campus of Macquarie University is located about 16 kilometers (9.9 miles) northwest of the Sydney CBD, on 126 hectares of rolling lawns and natural bushland. Macquarie University’s location in Sydney’s northwest high-technology corridor, close to Macquarie Park and its surrounding industries, has been critical in its development as a relatively research-intensive university.
The majority of the site was under cultivation before the campus was built, including peach orchards, market gardens, and poultry farms. Walter Abraham, one of the first six administrators appointed to Macquarie University, served as the institution’s first architect and planner.
He implemented thoughtfully planned planting programs across the campus as the area transitioned from its former rural use to a busy collegiate environment. In order to create a small academic core, Abraham established a grid design with lots that were 300 square feet (28 m2) in size and ran north to south. The grid design reflected the goal of having a maximum walk of 10 minutes between any two parts of the university, with 300 feet (91 m) being considered to be one minute’s walk.
Wally’s Walk is the name of the principal east-west walkway that connects the Macquarie University Research Park to the arts faculty buildings. It was given this name in honor of Walter Abraham’s contributions to the growth of the university.
