How you can qualify for the 50k No Essay Scholarship
This scholarship is not open to all international students. It is specifically open to a legal citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America (USA).
Another thing is that you must be an undergraduate of a college or looking to go to college within 12 months to be eligible for this scholarship.
If you are an American then you must be at least 18 years old. If the legal age of the country you currently reside in is greater than 18, like some countries that have placed their age for adults age at 21, then you must be at least 21.
The good news is that if you are, let’s say, 13. You can apply for this scholarship but you need your parent’s consent. Remember you can only apply once.
Application is only once. If you apply more than once, you’ll be disqualified. Registered Niche users can apply anytime but this does not give them any sort of advantage for the draw.
Level of Study
This scholarship is meant for students that are pursuing their BSc degree or intend to.
Scholarship Award
Once the draw takes place a winner is selected. The winner is contacted within 10 days after the draw. This awardee gets $50,000 from Niche. This money is paid once and not in instalments. If you are selected for the $50k No Essay Scholarship, you are expected to spend the money on academic expenses only.
Now, a new winner will be selected if any of the following occurs:
- The organisation cannot reach the former winner within 2 calendar days of the draw.
- The initial winner violates eligibility
- The winner fails to submit all forms or documents needed to claim the prize.
The winner has to submit a tax affidavit to claim the prize. The affidavit shall contain the winner’s name, address and SSN so that niche will issue IRS Form 1099 to the Winner, if necessary.
The winner also has to submit a valid ID and also sign the Declaration of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release documents.
If the winner violates any of these, the winner will be disqualified and benefits revoked immediately.
